Welcome to Melodusk ("we," "our," or "us"). Melodusk is the data controller for information described in this Policy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and disclose it, how long we retain it, and the choices available to you when you use melodusk.ai.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address, name, and authentication credentials. If you sign up using Google OAuth, we receive your basic profile information from Google.

2.2 Usage Data

We store the prompts you submit for music generation, your generated content, and other creative inputs in cloud storage so we can provide the Service, keep your library available, and process your requests. This data is associated with your account and is not collected for advertising, profiling, or model training. We only collect the technical data necessary to operate the Service (such as credit usage counts for billing purposes).

2.3 Limited Content Review

To prevent obvious copyright infringement, abuse, and security threats, prompts, uploads, and generated outputs may be processed transiently by automated filters during a generation request. We use the minimum processing necessary to perform these checks. The content may remain in our cloud storage as part of your account and library, but we do not create a separate review dataset or otherwise use reviewed content to train AI models, advertise, or build a user profile. We may retain limited review or enforcement records where reasonably necessary to secure the Service, respond to a rights-holder report, prevent fraud, or comply with law.

2.4 Payment Information

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card details. Stripe may collect and process your payment information according to their privacy policy.

2.5 Technical Data

We automatically collect certain technical information, including your IP address, browser type, device information, and cookies to improve our service and ensure security.

2.6 Information from Other Sources

If you choose a third-party sign-in (such as Google), we receive the basic account details that provider makes available to authenticate you. We may also receive information from payment, hosting, security, or support providers. We do not control the accuracy or privacy practices of those third parties.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use only the minimum information necessary to provide our service:

• To provide and maintain our AI music generation service
• To process your transactions and manage your subscription
• To communicate with you about your account and our services
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security issues
• To perform the limited, transient content checks described in Section 2.3
• To comply with legal obligations

Important: Your creative inputs, prompts, and generated content may be stored in our cloud systems to deliver the Service, but we do not sell them or use them for training, profiling, or marketing. Content review is limited to the security and rights-protection checks described above.

Where required by applicable privacy law, our legal bases include performing our contract with you, pursuing legitimate interests such as service security and improvement, obtaining your consent, and complying with legal obligations.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data with:

If you choose to publish a track, prompt, profile, or other content publicly, that information may be visible to other users and may be copied or reshared by them. Use private settings when you do not want content displayed publicly.

We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use prompts, uploads, or generated music to train general-purpose AI models.

5. Data Retention

We retain account information, prompts, uploads, and generated content in cloud storage for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide and secure the Service. When you delete your account, we will delete or de-identify this data within a reasonable period, subject to backups, legal obligations, dispute resolution, and limited security or enforcement records that must be retained for the purposes described in this Policy or as required by law. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by contacting us.

Data may be processed or stored in countries other than your own. Those countries may have different data protection rules; we use appropriate safeguards required by applicable law for such transfers.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Data portability
• Withdraw consent where applicable

Please do not send sensitive information through unsecured channels.

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to maintain your session, remember preferences, prevent abuse, and understand aggregate usage. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, although doing so may impair login or other functionality. We do not use cookies to sell personal information or serve behavioral advertising. Our Services may not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals unless required by applicable law.

9. Children's Privacy

Our service is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. A parent or guardian may contact us to request deletion.

For residents of California and other U.S. states with applicable comprehensive privacy laws, we collect the categories described in Section 2 (identifiers, account and transaction information, internet or device information, and user-generated content) from you, your device, authentication providers, and service providers. We use and disclose those categories only for the business purposes in Sections 3 and 4. We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we have not done so in the preceding 12 months. Subject to legal exceptions, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction as described in Section 6.

The Services may link to third-party websites or use third-party services such as Google sign-in, Stripe, cloud hosting, and security tools. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices, not this Policy. Review those notices before providing information. We are not responsible for third-party content, security, or privacy practices.
